Initiatives at Tsukudajima Elementary School

＜To raise awareness of rugby＞
After the announcement that the Rugby World Cup 2019 would be held in Japan, 3rd and 4th graders learned to play tag rugby and Australian football during physical education periods.

＜Initiatives by school years＞
1st and 2nd years learned about Australian food and animals during life environment studies period.
3rd through 6th years learned about Australian culture, geography, climate and the Tokyo 2020 Games.

＜Plans in the future＞
We will invite a track and fielder from Australia to give a talk to the whole student body. Also, we will hold a practical running session for the senior grades (5th and 6th graders).
